Clutter Video Tip: Lorie Uses Binder Clips for WHAT?

Each week we are posting a one-minute-ish quick video tip on something useful and practical that you can apply right away! Wow, I wish I thought of that! Oh wait, I did! Here’s a handy strategy for organizing your shelves and so much more… (Click here to watch on YouTube if you can’t see the embedded player.)

Hi. I’m Lorie Marrero, and today’s Clutter Video Tip is about alternate uses for the ordinary binder clip. I had a client once with lots of wire shelving and I had no idea how I was going to get an adhesive label on the edge of that very thin shelf. So, literally, in the shower one day I thought, “Hey, binder clips.” The label tape that comes out of our label makers fits exactly on the backside of a medium binder clip. And then I was able to just clip it on the wire shelves and put the clips back, and we had a really nice label for her.

So, I’ve used this concept many times in my own office for my paper sorting trays or I have here our shipping area. We have the express mail envelopes that I wanted to differentiate from the regular priority mail envelopes. So, I’ve got them grouped together with a labeled binder clip, as well as the global priority envelopes. And you can even use these on your freezer shelves to organize the things in your freezer. So, once you open your mind to the possibilities, you’ll find all kinds of uses for these great little tools.

See you next time, and may you always be happy and grateful for having more than enough.

I can “see” both links, but can’t get either to run. Might be nice to have text for us of what the clip shows/says. Thank you.
