Hi. I’m Lorie Marrero, and today’s Clutter Video Tip is about jewelry. We’re coming to you today from The Container Store in Austin, Texas, where I wanted to show you a few of my favorite jewelry products that I like to use when I’m organizing my clients’ homes. First is the clinging organizing – you can see it here on this wall behind me, and also in this package. It is great for visibility. As we talk about, the goal of any organizing project is visibility, so that you can just see what you have and use it more often. This has 80 pockets, and it’s two-sided, and it has a regular hanger on it, so you can either hang this on the back of your door, or you can actually hang it along with your clothing. In fact, if you hang a coat or a blazer over this product, you can actually camouflage your jewelry if you’re trying to keep it away from prying eyes.

If you want to store your jewelry in drawers, there are various drawer insert accessories that work really well for that. These are made of a light foam-type material and they come in different configurations based on what you need, whether it’s necklaces or rings or earrings. This would be great for earrings. They have little rounded compartments that are easy to reach into and grab. Also this type would be good for earrings or small necklaces, bracelets, watches. And, like I said, really lightweight, you can just configure them in any way you need to for your particular drawer.

We also have this type here that are made from an acrylic case, and they have a lined velvet insert inside, and they have various sizes of compartments so that you can use those, again, for earrings or necklaces or whatever works for you. They have ones that are specific to rings and other types, so that they work really, really well, and they stack too, so that’s great if you have this kind of multi-layered approach that you want in your drawer, where you can just lift these out and see what’s below.

Of course, one of my favorite things for jewelry is called a jewelry armoire, and it’s great for a dresser top or they even have them as a free-standing model that’s like a whole piece of furniture unto itself. The doors open out to the side, and the necklaces hang inside the doors and then on the inside the drawers pull out and hold rings and earrings and other things. It’s a really nice all-in- one jewelry box kind of solution.

If you don’t have something like that, I love this for necklaces. This is an acrylic necklace rack you can have on any wall space in your closet and it holds lots and lots of necklaces. It can even hold some small belts or bracelets as well. And for necklaces and bracelets these are also great solutions for a surface or tabletop. You have these that spin around and allow you to reach things a little more easily. And then obviously, this very simple solution to hang necklaces or bracelets off of as well.

So if you need some help with the right product recommendation for your particular situation, we have a team of professional organizers available seven days a week in our member area. At clutterdiet.com/learnmore, you can find out more about how this works.

See you next time, and may you always be happy and grateful for having more than enough.
