Hello, I’m Lorie Marrero, and today’s Clutter Video Tip is about the monitors on your desk. Now, you’ll notice that I have two of them here because I found in the New York Times a few years ago that you get a 20 – 30% increase in productivity when you have two monitors. I usually have two windows open. Maybe I’m comparing one document to another, or I’m reading something and writing about it over here. And it really adds to my productivity every day.

Now in my office I have two computers for various reasons, and what works great for this monitor is that I have a monitor riser which you can get at any office supply store. It keeps the monitor up in a little more comfortable height for my eyes and my neck, and it also has a drawer here for extra post-it notes or a calculator. But what I like the most is that it keeps the monitor up and out of the way so that I can use the real estate on my desk for better things to store. So I have a three-hole punch here whenever I need one, and I also have our Internet Password Organizer that we actually sell on our site at clutterdiet.com/internetpasswordorganizer. (Update August, 2016: This product is no longer available, please contact us at service@clutterdiet.com for updated information.)You can just write all your passwords in here, and there are index tabs so you can have your passwords handy wherever you’re working.

While you’re on our site, take a look at our membership program where we have helped thousands of people in 18 countries around the world with direct consulting from the pros.

So, see you next time, and may you always be happy and grateful for having more than enough.
