Organize and Go Green for Your Halloween Scene

266812708_6cc03ff946 As a professional organizer, I have worked in clients’ homes who have entire large rooms devoted to storage of holiday decorations, outfitted with uniform rows of shelving units stacked with color-coded bins for Easter, Halloween, St. Patrick’s Day, and of course, countless bins for Christmas. Other clients have basements, garages, and attics full of these same bins. If you are feeling like it’s all too much, click here for some thoughts for paring down the decorations while having the same festive effect on the Good Housekeeping Home Style Blog

And have you ever noticed things that look so cute in the store lose their shine once you get them home? I think once they are away from their “friends”, they don’t look as cohesive. So – the choice is to either buy everything in the store & recreate the cute display at home, or buy none of it and keep it stored in your memory. I’m the buy none of it type…….
