The boxes have been there for at least 5 years, maybe longer…

Here are before and after pictures of the part of my hall that is visible when someone comes in the front door. The boxes have been there for at least 5 years, maybe longer.

I had a picture in my mind of what it would look like if I got rid of the boxes and their contents and moved the two chairs, small spice cabinet my Dad made, and the lamp to this spot. It works! The two chairs had been in the dining room. Wing chairs do not belong in a dining room.
